Senior Care Assistant – Picktree Court
Hours: 36 hours per week at Picktree Court, night shift
Salary: £9.96 per hour with NVQ3
Comparative rate (£9.13 per hour with NVQ3 – all breaks fully paid)
You will provide nursing care, comfort, and companionship to the highest standards for elderly residents and be part of the Premier Care Homes Group. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for the effective running of the floor. Applicants must be aged 18+ as will be providing personal care. A caring nature and a genuine interest in helping others is essential. Must be able to work using their own initiative without supervision over a 7 day rota. Previous senior care experience is preferable. NVQ3 in Health and Social Care preferred but not essential.
Hours: 2 x 20 hours per week at Picktree Court, weekends included
1 x 22 / 33 hours night shift per week at Picktree Court, weekends included
Salary: £8.41 per hour with NVQ2
Applicants must be aged 18+ as will be providing personal care. You will provide nursing care, comfort, and companionship to the highest standards for elderly residents. An NVQ2 or NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or medication training is desirable. Duties will include assisting with personal care for the elderly, helping with daily bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and other care duties as required.
Activities Co-ordinator – Durham House
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: £8.21 per hour
Applicants must have good working knowledge of Word and Excel packages as may be required to produce posters and newsletters. Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not necessary as training could be given to the right applicant. The successful applicant will help create and implement physically and mentally stimulating activities for residents aged 65 and over. Fundraising for activities will form part of the role, so applicants with experience or new ideas would be ideal.
Hours: 35 hours per week over a 7 day period
Salary: £8.81 per hour
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment, meeting residents dietary requirements as necessary. As Cook you will lead the catering team to provide nutritious and enticing meals for the residents in our care. You will be responsible for ensuring meal times are an enjoyable part of the day, involving residents in preparing and developing menus. An excellent knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation is essential, along with a positive attitude and desire to deliver the best possible service to the residents in our care. Experience of supervising or leading a team is desirable.
Hours: 18 hours per week over a 7 day period
Salary: £8.21 per hour
You will be assisting the Cook to prepare balanced, nutritious meals within a controlled hygienic environment. Your responsibilities also include serving meals to the residents, collection of cutlery and crockery and the adequate cleaning of the kitchen. A good knowledge of food hygiene is desirable, along with a positive attitude and desire to deliver the best possible service to the residents in our care. Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential.
Maintenance Engineer / Handyman
Hours: 40 hours per week over a 7 day period
Applicants must be able to carry out general mechanical and electrical maintenance as required around the Home. Other duties will include painting, decorating, gardening and general errands. Applicants must hold a valid, clean driving license. A relevant qualification is preferable.
