Durham House
Durham House has been in operation as a residential care home for the elderly since August 1988, and has remained since that time in the same family control as a family run business. Durham House offers high quality care in a relaxed, friendly, beautiful and homely style atmosphere, within a convenient and well-placed town centre location.
The aim of Durham House is intended to be the standard against which other residential care homes are judged, and to offer a varied and comfortable lifestyle for its residents. This is achieved by looking after each individuals health, care, and well being needs, together with addressing as far as possible within a residential care home setting, each individual residents social, cultural, religious and recreational needs.
Durham House has invested in the future, and is fully compliant with all aspects of the Care Standards Act 2000, its Regulations and National Minimum Standards. This includes physical and environmental requirements, operational policies and quality procedures, together with management structure and staffing principles.
