RGN / Nurse

33 hours per week day shift at Picktree Court (8am – 8pm)
£22.20 per hour

Job description:
You will be required to delegate and take control of the work of a team of care assistants, administrating medications, dressings, care plan updates and liaising with other health care professionals, alongside general care duties for the elderly.

Senior Care Assistant

30 or 40 hours per week night shift at Durham House

33 – 44 hours per week day shift at Picktree Court

£13.37 – £13.48 per hour (1 hour break)

Job description:
You will provide nursing care, comfort, and companionship to the highest standards for elderly residents and be part of the Premier Care Homes Group. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for the effective running of the floor.

Responsibilities include:
• Receive and deliver hand overs.
• Administration of medication and completion of appropriate documents.
• Stock checking controlled drugs.
• Supervise carers in their daily duties.
• Liaise with GP’s and other health professionals.
• Logging of appropriate information in relevant documents.
• Care planning.
• Assist in general daily living activities.
• Ensuring the effective running of the floor.

Applicants must be aged 18+ as will be providing personal care. A caring nature and a genuine interest in helping others is essential. Must be able to work using your own initiative without supervision over a 7 day rota. Previous senior care experience is preferable. NVQ3 in Health and Social Care preferred but not essential, as we provide all our staff with a wide range of training, plus access to Level 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care.

Senior/Care Assistant

£11.44 – £11.64 per hour for Care Assistant shifts

Care Assistant Nights

33 hours per week night shift at Picktree Court (8pm – 8am)
Salary: £11.44 – £11.64 per hour

Applicants must be aged 18+ as will be providing personal care. Working as part of a team, you will provide nursing care, comfort, and companionship to the highest standards for elderly residents and be part of the Premier Care Homes Group. Previous care experience is desirable but not essential as training can be given. Duties will include assisting with personal care for the elderly, helping with daily bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and other care duties as required.

Activities Co-ordinator

20 hours per week over 5 days at Durham House
16 – 20 hours per week at Picktree Court
Salary: £11.64 per hour

Job description:
Applicants must have good working knowledge of Word and Excel packages as may be required to produce posters and newsletters. Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not necessary as training could be given to the right applicant. The successful applicant will help create and implement physically and mentally stimulating activities for residents aged 65 and over. Fundraising for day trips and outings will form part of the role, so applicants with experience or new ideas for this type of activity would be ideal.

Cook

30 hours per week at Picktree Court
Salary: £12.04 per hour

Job description:
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment, meeting residents dietary requirements as necessary. Responsibilities: working with raw ingredients, required knowledge of food/nutrition, to prepare and cook nutritional food from fresh to a high standard at agreed meal times from set menus. Ensuring rotation of foodstuffs, ordering fresh food and other food, monitoring and recording temperature checks.

As Cook you will assist in leading the catering team to provide nutritious and enticing meals for the residents in our care. You will be responsible for ensuring meal times are an enjoyable part of the day, involving residents in preparing and developing menus. The successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative without supervision over a 7 day rota. An excellent knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation is essential, along with a positive attitude and desire to deliver the best possible service to the residents in our care. Experience of supervising or leading a team is desirable.
